Gentle Hatha Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance in other physical activities. After a run, or heavy workout, yoga will help your body relax while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening the muscles you were just working on.
Restorative yoga can be described as a supported, conscious relaxation practice for the body and the mind. Restorative yoga is a gentle, therapeutic style of yoga that uses props to support the body to deepen the benefits of the poses. The body is supported to such a degree that we are able to relax
completely into postures, so the muscles open without expending energy. This practice helps to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for balancing the body and bringing its response system back into equilibrium, giving the body an opportunity to renew and heal.
